Last updated: March 25, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of the website available at www.applegal.ro (the “Website”) owned by APP Legal (Adina Popescu – Law Office), established and operating under the laws of Romania based on the Decision of the Bucharest Bar Council no. 578 of 17.03.2026, with registered office in Bucharest, 10 Doamna Ghica Str., District 2, Romania, having tax identification number 42198869, e-mail address office@applegal.ro (“APP Legal”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, filling out the contact form, or scheduling a legal consultation, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Website or our services.
2. Nature of the Information Provided
The content of this Website is provided solely for general informational purposes. Nothing on this Website constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship or equivalent professional relationship is created through the use of the Website, filling out the contact form, or participating in a preliminary consultation call.
A professional mandate exists only when both parties have signed a formal legal assistance contract that specifies the scope, fees, and terms of representation.
3. Contact Form and Preliminary Consultations
The contact form hosted through Microsoft Forms collects preliminary information to help us assess whether our services are suitable for your needs. Completing the questionnaire does not oblige either party to initiate a mandate.
By completing the contact form, you represent and warrant that you are duly authorized to provide information both on your own behalf and on behalf of the company identified in the form, and that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Preliminary consultation calls are for informational purposes. No professional advice is provided during these calls unless and until a formal legal assistance contract is concluded.
4. Terms of the Mandate
All professional mandates are governed by a separate legal assistance contract, written and signed by both parties. The legal assistance contract will specify the scope of work, applicable fees, payment terms, delivery schedule, and any other conditions of the engagement.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the terms of a signed legal assistance contract, the legal assistance contract shall prevail regarding the services covered by it.
5. Intellectual Property
All Website content – including text, design, structure, graphic elements, databases, and articles – is the property of APP Legal (Adina Popescu – Law Office) and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You do not have the right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Website’s content without our prior written consent.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all information provided through the contact form, consultation calls, and work within the mandate with the utmost strictness, subject to professional secrecy, in accordance with the regulations applicable to the legal profession. The information will not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law, by order of a competent court, or with your prior written consent. Our confidentiality obligations are detailed in the applicable legal assistance contract.
7. Limitation of Liability
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use of the Website or from any decision made based on the information obtained through the Website. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
We make every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date information. However, the information published on the Website is provided “as is”, without any express or implied warranties regarding its timeliness, accuracy, or completeness. For this reason, we assume no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content provided.
We also implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Website and collected data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, the user is aware that the transmission of information over the Internet is never completely secure, which is why we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the information transmitted to the Website.
We cannot guarantee the uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Website, the correctness of the information on the Website, or the absence of viruses or other harmful components.
Finally, we are not liable for direct or indirect damages, financial losses, moral or material damages, consequences of decisions made based on the information on the Website, or the inability to use the Website.
8. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the applicable data protection legislation in Romania. For detailed information on how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, please consult our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Services
The Website and our services rely on certain third-party services, including Microsoft 365 (Forms, Bookings, Teams, OneDrive) and Cloudflare (hosting and security). The use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party service providers.
10. Links to Other Websites
The Website may contain links to other websites considered useful. We assume no responsibility for the content, security, privacy policies, or operation of those external websites.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Website at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to the breach of these Terms.
The termination of a professional mandate is governed by the terms of the applicable legal assistance contract and the mandatory provisions of Romanian legislation regarding the legal profession.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. By continuing to access and use the Website after the publication of changes, you confirm that you have read and agree to the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Romania, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by the mandatory provisions of the applicable law.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid by a competent court, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
